"HEALTHY TEETH AND GUMS FOR LIFE"

Things to do This Long Weekend

Things to do this long weekend: A group of friends holding sparklers on the beach.

Yet another long weekend is upon us. It represents the middle of summer holidays, sunshine and vacations. Many people head to the cottage for the long weekend, but many of us choose a mini stay-cation. If you’re sticking around the city this long weekend, here are a few things that are going on around Hamilton!

Dusk Dances

This is an outdoor dance festival that takes place in the evening from July 28-30. It is put on by the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts. The festival will take place at Bayfront Park. For more information go to: duskdances.ca

Rollerskating on the Waterfront

Bring the family and your roller skates! This event is taking place from 7-11pm from July 29 to 30 at Pier 8. If you don’t have skates, don’t sweat it – you can rent them there.

Films in the Forest

Spend a day at Fifity Point and stay for the evening showing of Zootopia. Don’t forget your blanket and chair to be able to fully experience a movie under the stars.

Ghost Walk @ the Hermitage

Are you ready to be spooked? Book a ghost walk at the Hermitage. For $15 you and a group of people will be taken on a walk through the woods and told the story and history of Ancaster’s oldest legend. For ticket information click here.

Enchanted Garden Weekend

Ready for a day of fairies and pixie dust? Bring the whole family to the Royal Botanical Gardens for an weekend full of enchantment and magic. Ticket and event information can be found here.

Ice Cream Carnival

Visit the Westfield Heritage Village for their annual Ice Cream Carnival. Enjoy homemade ice-cream and baked goods (just remember to brush your teeth after!).

We hope this list keeps you busy! Just remember this long weekend marks the half way mark to “back to school”. So if you have not gotten in to see one of our hygienists – call us before school starts! 905-545-4833.
